North Carolina to Florida

Happy Memorial Day!
Outfit #1
GO ND!
Landon is a great traveler, however our ride home from our NASCAR weekend was eventful. Landon went through 3 outfits. The first change was due to spit up and the 2nd outfit change was due to bathroom issues. Our first stop of the trip wasn't so bad, we stopped at a Burger King in South Carolina for a diaper change and Landon's "lunch." He spit up on his Notre Dame outfit so we changed him into his cute green and white monkey romper.

Outfit #2
This outfit was changed when we got to Georgia because Landon went to the bathroom all over his outfit AND his car seat. During the process of getting him out, his poop ended up on Chad and myself. Of course it was pouring down rain and we stopped at the only gas station around with the tiniest bathrooms ever. Landon was upset and crying the entire time. I had a little bit of a melt down, but Chad stayed strong! After Landon was changed and fed, Chad cleaned out the car seat and got gas, 45 minutes later we were back on the road!

Landon is trying to "sit up" while in his car seat.
The rest of the trip consisted of Landon sleeping and fussing because he was pretty much over being in the car. I don't blame him, Chad and I were done as well. Even with the storms and the stops we made pretty good time for our trip home. We left my parents house around 8:30 and made it to our house around 7ish.

Rest stop in FL stretching our legs!
Even though Landon slept a lot in the car he must have still been tired! He slept the whole night, it was the 2nd time in a row that he slept from 9 PM to about 5:30 AM. I could really get used to a sleep schedule like this!

I made Chad scare him to get this cute pout picture. It is so adorable!

I'm 3 Months Old!

I'm 3 months old today! I love to sit up even though I am not super sturdy yet. Oh, and I love my tongue, I can't believe this thing has been around for 2 and 1/2 months, it is so much fun! I love when people stick out their tongues and make noises, I try to mimic them. I still drool A LOT, it's like a fountain coming out of my mouth. I think my mommy and daddy really like the wet spots on their shoulders when they hold me. I'm smiling and talking a ton! I also recognize my mommy and daddy. I was crying at school when I saw my mommy come in I stopped and started to smile.

Bad Cough :(

Landon had such a bag cough. He started it just after the doctor told him that he was 100% healthy, so that was very odd. He was up a lot at night because of sleeping on his back, so we brought up his chair and had him sleep in that to keep his coughing down. Poor little guy :(

We took him to the doctor and he said that Landon will probably just get a series of cold like symptoms because of daycare. He said the good part of it is that when he gets to school, he will have already been exposed to so many germs he won't miss as much school. It breaks my heart to hear my baby cough and know there is nothing I can do about it. However, he is still really happy! (He gained 3 ounces too, 14.3 ounces!)

Get out of here, ear infection!

Landon had his follow up visit for his ear infection today. Good news, he is all better! He now weighs 14 pounds 1 ounce and is 24 inches long. He is a growing boy! Landon loves to go to the doctors office and kick the paper, he love the crinkle noises. It's pretty funny!

Morning from Landon

Landon and Wrigley took some funny pictures together. I didn't pose them, but they just love the camera! It's so funny. Landon was wearing his best friends onesie, so it was appropriate that Wrigley took some photos with him :)
What are you looking at?

Cheese!

I want to sit up!

Landon has spent the last 13 weeks laying down and he is pretty much over it, he is ready to sit up and see the world! However, he is a bit too small and most of the toys that promote sitting up are for 4 months and up. I decided to put together his ExerSaucer and see how he would do sitting and playing with the toys. He is too short to touch the bottom, his arms can barely reach the toys, and I have to stuff blankets around him so he doesn't fall over but he LOVES it!

Glad Mommy put the blankets in so I don't fall over!

ESPN Rules!
I want to reach that toy!

Mommy and Landon Day

Today I used the TV as a babysitter for the first time. I'm not really proud of myself, but I was amazed at how entertained he was by the PBS show about the environment. This corny show was brightly colored, with a large singing fox and Landon just loved it. It was great because I was trying to get ready for Landon and I to go to CAE to make up some hours. He wasn't crying because he was entertained, I loved it! Mr. Rodgers however did not hold his attention like the large singing fox, he feel asleep right away, I guess King Friday is more for the older kids.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

Tear!

Landon had his first tear! Well, at least according to Chad, I still haven't seen any. He said it was all welled up in his eye, but wasn't big enough to fall or to take a picture of it. I missed it because I was inside the bank opening up Landon's college fund. (Yay, college!) I am thinking I should start letting Landon cry for longer periods of time so I can see one of these phantom tears! :)

Big Boy!

Look at the big boy! His day care teacher, Ms. Mariah, took this photo to show us. He is sitting in his Bumbo seat and doing so well! She said that he loves sitting up and watching everything going on. I figured he would since he is so nosy! ha ha! I just can't believe how big he is getting. He is already 11 weeks old!

Chad also started back to school today! He is a little nervous about getting back into Algebra, but Landon and I know he will do great! Both of us are so proud of him for going back to school and working on his degree. Good luck this semester Chad! :)

Mother's Day!

What a wonderful first Mother's Day! Chad was so great, he woke up for the 3:30 AM feeding so I could sleep. I fed Landon at 6:30 and we cuddled a bit and then I also got in some cuddle time with Wrigley! Chad made pancakes and bacon for breakfast, so yummy! Landon gave me the cutest card with photos of us all over it and then my present was a Pandora bead, a baby boy shoe.

My baby!
The rest of the morning we spent getting ready for our day and we went to 10:30 mass where I received a flower for being the youngest mother in attendance! The oldest mother was 90 and she also received a flower from Father Jude. I was in the crying room when Father Jude was looking for the oldest and youngest mothers. One of the other dads in the room called out to Father Jude my age, so I had to come out of the room and receive my flower. The whole congregation clapped and I turned bright red. Even though I was embarrassed, it was very sweet of him!

My Mother's Day Flower

The Hillcox were in town from England visiting Aunt Lyn and Uncle John. So, Grandpa, Elaine, Perry, Aunt Becky, Uncle Sloan, Alison, John, Maddy, Stewart, Michelle, Cheyenne, Bryce, Chad, Landon, and I all went over to Tarpon for a Mother's Day party. Thankfully Aunt Lyn and Uncle John didn't mind our invasion and we had a really nice pot luck lunch.

After lunch we all had a really good time at the pool. The weather was nice so nice, it wasn't ungodly hot and actually it wasn't too sunny either. Aidan was so cute because he wanted to wear goggles and put his face in the water so badly, but he doesn't understand how to make bubbles to breathe out so he was a little afraid. Maddy was an excellent swimmer, obviously it is because her Grandma is part mermaid! Evan liked the water too and Landon fell asleep in his baby raft.

Evan loved the tire rafts!

Evan has the funniest crawl! We had to get it on video. Thanks Uncle John for getting him to crawl!

Additional Side Note: Thank you to everyone for making my little boy stay and awake and keeping him entertained all day! He FINALLY slept through the entire night! 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM! :)

T-ball Fun! Go Jacob!

Chad worked on Saturday so that he could have the day off on Sunday for Mother's Day. Landon and I went to see Jacob play in his last t-ball game of the season. Since we were already in Land O'Lakes we went to do some grocery shopping at Chad's Publix. Any time Landon comes to visit Daddy he draws lots of attention! In fact, one of Chad's co-workers asked who I was because he thought with all the managers around me that I was the president of something! He told Chad that he was on his best behavior just in case! That made me laugh :)

Saturday Landon was just so happy (as usual) that I had to take some photos!
I just love this little guy!
As you can see, Saturday we had several outfits.

Oh Landon!

I have no idea why, but Landon is 2 for 2 with pooping during my doctor appointments. It isn't quiet, it is loud and beyond messy. It's like he knows the most inopportune times and takes advantage of it!

I had to work a for a few hours today, then Chad and Landon met me at CAE so I could show Landon off to everyone. They all made comments about how big he is getting and several people commented that Landon has my eyes (lucky little guy! ha ha!). We then made our way over to our doctor appointments, Chad and I both had physicals. Landon decided he wanted to eat then, so I filled out paperwork one handed while feeding Landon, I'm getting better at this one handed stuff!

After my appointment was done I cleaned up Landon's mess and we changed outfits and finished eating. I'm glad my doctors office was understanding and let me hang out in the room for a little bit! Actually, as I was leaving they were talking about another woman who was in the room changing her baby.

Then we had a fun day of Chad's car not starting, buying a car battery, going to BB&B to get Frogg Togs for the NASCAR race, lunch at Winner's Grill on a Groupon, and then finally Babies R Us where we got some amazing deals!

We had more returns at Babies R Us, of course. We used part of that money to get a baby pool float that was on sale it says 6 to 18 months, so it will be awhile since Landon is only 2 months 3 weeks! We then hit the clearance clothes racks for some awesome deals. They were 1/2 off of the clearance price so I was able to get pants and shorts for 25 cents! We spent $35.15 on clothes and we purchased 6 full outfits (one was an adorable shirt, sweater vest, and khaki pants), pair of overalls, under armor shirt, 2 pants, shorts, and a pair of socks. Not bad, right?

Oh and today has been the big battle of the thumb. So far Landon is winning and Mommy and Daddy are losing, mainly because Daddy is a wimp. Mommy yanks that thumb out and pops in a pacifier!

My Little Artist

Landon made his first art project today! I'm not sure how they were able to get his footprints so perfect when Chad and I had nothing but issues! Isn't it adorable? I'm so proud!

First Antibiotic :(

I've had my first call from Landon's daycare that something was wrong. It isn't a good feeling when you see "All Kids Academy" on your caller ID! They called to say he wasn't feeling well and had a temp of 99 degrees. Chad and I had discussed getting him a doctor appointment already that morning because he was coughing so much the night before. I called Dr. Wilde's office and scheduled a 9:40 appointment.

Chad took his lunch hour to take Landon to the doctor. He doesn't remember his weight but it was over 12 pounds, so our little guy is getting bigger! Dr. Wilde said Landon has an ear infection in his right ear and he still had a slight cold.

We had been using this little noses saline spray for his nose for about a week now, which has been helping. Now he is on amoxicillin twice a day for his ear infection and Dr. Wilde said should help clear up his cold.

Chad took this video at the doctors office.
You would never know Landon is sick, he is such a happy boy!

Meeting the Boston Cousins

Last night we went to dinner at Pinocchio's in Tarpon Springs for some pizza with Aunt Lyn, Uncle John, Grandpa Stahlhut, Mom, and cousins Alan, Michelle, and their son Sam. It was so nice to see Alan and Michelle again, we were super excited to meet Sam. He was ADORABLE! Alan and Michelle are such great parents, Sam is a lucky baby!

Great Grandpa and Sam

We took some photos with Great Grandpa and his Great Grandsons! Chad's Grandpa is so cute, he loves the babies and loves to play with them. It is so great! I'm so glad Landon is getting to know his Great Grandfather.

Aunt Megan Graduated!

Landon and Mommy made a 12 hour trip to Greenville, North Carolina to watch Aunt Megan graduate from East Carolina University. Landon was a traveling champ! He pretty much slept most of the time, I guess the back seat of the car isn't that entertaining, and was really only fussy towards the end of the ride when he was just over it. I'm really proud of his traveling skills!

Landon having his breakfast at a truck stop in GA

Landon having his mid afternoon snack and diaper change in a booth at BoJangles. They don't have a baby changing station in their bathroom, so the booth worked out pretty well!

We arrived on Thursday early evening and met up with my parents, Billy, and Megan. That night we went out to dinner  at a place called Tripp's, they had 1/2 price bottles of wine, it was pretty much a selling point! Mommy was suppose to go out to the country bar with Nana, Pops, Uncle Billy and Aunt Megan but that didn't happen. Billy and Megan ended up partying the night away. Landon work up around 1 and 3 to check and see if anyone was home. When we got up for the day at 6:30, no one was around but us!

He was such a happy boy on Friday morning. We took this picture for daddy!

Landon was super comfy on pops!
Friday we took Landon to the pool. It was a little cold so he wasn't too thrilled swimming with us, but we took some photos! He then dried off, Nana fed him his bottle and he took a little nap.

Megan's first graduation was a small one for her Spanish degree. Landon spent the entire time looking at Pops and laughing. He even let out a little squeal, it was pretty funny! After her Spanish graduation they had a little reception with cake (again), drinks, and some cheese and crackers. We hung out there for a little bit and then headed to Little Washington, about an hour away, for dinner on the river. We had some drinks and some really good food. We just hung out and had some quality family time.

Saturday was Megan's big business school graduation. This one was much bigger and lasted a whole lot longer. Landon stayed awake for most of it. It was actually really funny, when Megan started her way up to the stage he was fighting sleep pretty bad. Then she got her "diploma" and crossed the stage and he just zonked out. It was like he stayed awake just long enough to watch her graduate.

After graduation we had a tailgate toast with beers in the parking lot and then went over to Sup Dawg's for lunch with the graduate! After lunch we went around campus taking photos, lots of photos! We went to dinner at O'Charley's and watched the end of the Kentucky Derby (the horse I picked won!) and some of the NASCAR race.

That night Landon had his first babysitter, Katie, one of Megan's service sorority sisters. I was only gone for about 2 hours and we were probably only a 5 minute walk from each other! He slept the entire time, so he didn't benefit from the mom is gone do whatever we want thing, maybe next time. :) We went to Megan's work, it's a hotel bistro, to see this country singer perform, Emily Minor. She was really good!

Then Landon had another first, we spent the night in my parents hotel room so we could leave from there early the next morning. It made the most sense, so we made Landon a blanket bed on the floor and I slept on the pull out couch.

Landon and I got on the road about 7:30 and headed home. We made pretty good time for the amount of stops we made. We got home around 7 PM, and Chad was there waiting for us with bottles! A beer bottle for me and an Enfamil bottle for Landon, it was perfect!

Landon again was a really good travel buddy. We took 95 all the way down to Daytona and then took 1-4 across to 75. We wanted to avoid Gainesville because Florida was having all their graduations, we didn't want to get stuck in that traffic. At one point past Daytona and 1-4 Landon started screaming on the top of his lungs, I found the nearest exit and got in the backseat to try and calm him down. As soon as he saw me he stopped crying and started smiling. It was cute, but we still had an hour and some left in our drive and I really just wanted to get home! I changed his diaper and gave him a little pep talk. He cried some more and finally fell asleep.

Happy boy all snuggled into his car seat for the drive!

We passed "The South of the Border" because we took 95.
I took this picture for Chad!
"You never sausage a place!" was my favorite billboard.
