Roll Over!

Landon is a mover and a shaker, currently he is adding rolling over to his list of tricks! On Monday, April 9th, Landon rolled from his back to his side. He would have made it all the way over to his stomach but his position on the couch prevented him from doing the full turn. He couldn't get over the dip between the cushions. Yesterday Landon rolled from his stomach to his back! I wish I could have got this on video, but he does it too fast. I'm sure there will be more rolling over in our future, but I'm impressed with his skills so far :)

Landon has been eating 4 ounces with every bottle, but cried whenever we would stop him eating to burp and even when eating was over! So we've been increasing his feedings to 5 ounces and 6 ounces and he is a much happier baby. He slept last night from midnight until 5:30 AM! Chad and I were super excited about all the sleep.

Landon rolled on his side all by himself!

Landon's First Easter

Landon's first Easter egg! He slept through everyone dying eggs, but we all had a good time!
We all survived Landon's first road trip AND weekend away! I really felt like I was packing up everything in the house, but I have to say I think I did pretty well. We didn't run out of bottles, formula, or diapers. He didn't even wear half the clothes I brought either. Thank you so much to Barry for letting us invade your house for the weekend.

Landon did great in the car, he is so far a better traveler than his daddy! Although, the both slept pretty much the entire way to Boca while Aunt Megan and I hung out in the front seat talking and singing. I am so thankful that Landon doesn't mind his car seat and doesn't mind being in there all day! It makes my life a whole lot easier.

Landon met so many family members, including his Great-Grandma Effie and his Great-Grandpa Don. Not many kids get to meet their great grandparents, Landon is pretty lucky!

The Easter Bunny was very good to Landon. He had a basket full of treats! The bunny gave him a little soccer ball, a "My first Easter" rattle, an Easter book, 3 Elmo books, and his first chocolate rabbit. Landon told Chad and I that we can share the chocolate with him. He is such a good kid!

The bunny wasn't the only person who gave Landon presents. Aunt Megan gave him 2 ECU onesies and an ECU hat, Nana and Pops gave Landon a card with money for college, (Great) Aunt Bambi and (Great) Uncle Don gave him a cute outfit, (Great) Aunt Patti and (Great) Uncle Gary gave him a fun toy, an outfit, some bubbles, and a rabbit stuffed animal, (Great) Grandma and (Great) Grandpa gave him a large blue rabbit stuffed animal, and cousins Lisa, Justin, and Emily gave him a cute outfit. Landon is so grateful to have such wonderful family!

Landon was really glad that Aunt Megan came for Easter because he was able to go swimming for the first time! Since I couldn't go in the pool and Chad wouldn't because of his ears, Aunt Megan said she wanted to take him in. Landon's swimsuit was pretty big on him and they don't really make swim diapers in his size, but he loved the water! He is too young to go under still, but he liked just being held and "swimming" with his cousins.

After our eventful Easter filled with an egg hunt, egg tosses, bocci ball, and LOTS of food we headed back to Tampa on Monday. Aunt Megan had a flight to catch at 7 PM and Chad had to work at 4. We had breakfast at Aunt Patti and Uncle Gary's house and then headed home to Tampa. We stopped for lunch in Port Charlotte and had a quick visit with (Great) Aunt Maureen. It was nice to see her even though it was quick.

We had about an hour to waste before Aunt Megan had to get to the airport so we went to Crabby Bills on the water to eat. Landon had some Newborn Enfamil while Megan and I dined on some seafood appetizers. It was a nice way to end a fun weekend with Megan. We were sad she had to leave, but we are looking forward to seeing her in a few weekends for Landon's christening in North Carolina.

Wrigley's Vet Visit

Wrigley had his comprehensive visit at the vet today. I dropped him off at 10 AM and picked him up at 7 PM, I'm pretty sure he liked all the one on one attention he was given because he wasn't nearly as upset leaving the vet as he normally is! He came back from his check up with 100% clean bill of health.

They did a deep cleaning on his teeth and had to put him under anesthesia and when Landon and I picked him up, he was still a little out of it. In fact, he tried to hop up on the couch, something he does countless times a day even though we have stairs for him to use, he fell over!

Since Wrigley had a tough day being poked and prodded we bought him a little present. He is now sporting a new superhero T-shirt. It has the A on it for the Marvel Avengers and pictures of The Hulk, Iron Man, and Captain America. He looks pretty spiffy!

Bye, Bye Newborn, Hello 0-3!

It was a sad day in the Diffenderfer household, we packed up Landon's newborn wardrobe and used the last of the newborn diapers. Our little boy is getting so big! Well, mainly he is getting so tall! The 0 to 3 and 3 months outfits fit him lengthwise, but it might be a little while until he is able to fill them out.

Friends of my parents have a little boy, Kooper, and they sent me a bunch of his old clothes, several of them name brand with the tags still on them. So, Landon will be in style for his first day of daycare! First impressions go a long way so he has to look good ;)

Play Time Fun

Landon is starting to coo and react to things surrounding him. It is so neat to watch him grow! I know he doesn't have full control over his hands or feet, but it is fun to watch him grab and kick at toys. He is constantly moving, he doesn't like to sit still! We have no idea where he gets that from, I'm pretty sure it is from his dad! Ha ha! :)

Uncle Billy's Visit

Uncle Billy and his nephews

Landon had a really fun time bonding with Uncle Billy while he was in town for a conference. Uncle Billy even watched Landon for a little bit and experienced (Billy's) first major blow out diaper! Lucky Uncle Billy! While Billy was here Landon showed him the town. We took him to Tarpon Springs and John's Pass at Indian Rocks Beach, Landon's 2nd time at both places. Landon also had his first sushi outing while Uncle Billy was in town and we went to a cupcake party at the Sullivan's house and watched some March Madness. We had a very busy and eventful time together! It was too short, but Landon is looking forward to seeing Uncle Billy again at his baptism.

Landon is wearing his new onesie from Uncle Billy that says "I was born awesome."
