Landon the artist!

I love all of Landon's artwork! He is so talented :)
Check out his latest artwork, it's a fish made out of his hand print!

Water Day Friday at All Kids

Every Friday All Kids Academy has water day. Landon loved it, all the workers told me when I picked Landon up. Miss Mariah said that Landon did not want to leave the water and come back inside. She sent me these pictures and they made me laugh!

All tired out after water day!

Oatmeal

Doctor Wilde told us we could start feeding Landon oatmeal and Landon loved it! He kept wanting more and more, he was so funny. It was a super messy meal, but he didn't mind at all.

We needed a bath after our oatmeal adventure. Landon loves bathtime!

I'm 4 Months Today!

We spent Landon's 4 month "birthday" getting his 3 month portraits at JC Penny. Landon was going to have Nana take his 3 month photos in Cleveland, but her camera broke. They sent us a coupon for no sitting fees and 2 free 8x10s. I'm not really sure what I will do with these 8x10s, but we have them! Nana said she will take Landon's 6 month photos for him.

*You can access the photos on the JC Penny website for 90 days, the code is LTPP041113045JCP

Landon learned so much during his 3rd month of life, it is just amazing watching him grow. His personality is sure developing! He is a laid back, easy going baby with lots of smiles! However, he has a pretty strong stubborn streak (we aren't sure where that came from!).

Now Landon laughs and it is the cutest thing! He learned how to "talk" and make noises on a regular basis. He started out doing it with his mouth closed, and it was really funny. He quickly discovered that if he opened his mouth the noise was so much louder.

We have had a major struggle this month with Landon's thumbs always being in his mouth. He feels the need to suck on fingers, fists, and mainly his thumb constantly. His hands are almost always near his head, so I guess it is natural, but Mommy and Daddy have been putting up a good fight getting those hands away from his mouth and giving him alternative things to suck on. He really isn't that picky, when I was holding him he was trying to suck on my shoulder.

We now roll over too! Mommy and Daddy have only witnessed him rolling over from his tummy to his back, but Miss Mariah told us he can also go from his back to his tummy. Apparently he reserves that trick for just her. Either way it creates some super funny positions when he wakes up in the morning.

Dr. Wilde told us at his 4 month appointment that Landon is very strong. He is doing great with neck control and really loves to stand up. Obviously he can't stand on his own, but he tries! He really loves to sit up, although he can't sit up on his own he tries really hard. I think the fact he is really nosy will help him achieve the mobility that he wants so badly!

Oh, and on a funny note, Chad had to sign Landon's first "ouch" report at daycare today. It wasn't even because of another child, Landon gave himself a hickey! It was on his right arm because he was sucking it too hard. Of course he decided to do this on picture day :)

Travel/fun things this month:
Landon spent his 3rd month "birthday" in Charlotte, NC at Nana and Pop's house for the NASCAR race. The was his 3rd trip to North Carolina. Landon went to Cleveland, Ohio to visit Mommy's family. This trip included 2 trips on a airplane, a visit to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and his first bon fire at Gail and Brian Sente's house! Landon attended his first babyshower/sprinkle for his soon to be new friend Juliet Berman. He also helped move Grandma and Grandpa from their house in Brooksville to Dunedin, right down the street from Great Grandpa Stahlhut. Landon survived his first tropical storm, Debby. He also had his first non-family babysitter. Amanda, mommy's co-worker, and her boyfriend Brandon babysat Landon while they went to dinner and a movie.

Cleveland Trip Recap

Landon and Mommy's Cleveland trip was crazy busy! We had lots of people to see and things to do. Luckily, Nana and Mommy made a detailed itinerary and we stuck to it pretty well. Here is a day by day recap of the whirlwind trip!

Wednesday, June 20th Landon and I landed at the Cleveland airport and Nana and Queen picked us up. We went to Queen's apartment to visit for a little while and then headed to Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Arden's house to meet up with Laura Spencer. We got situated and then the 3 of us went to Houlighan's in Westlake to have dinner with the Willis clan. That was so fun, all the babies are getting so big! It was fun to see Sarah and Annie pregnant too. Liam and Adrian probably grew about 10 feet since I saw them last! After dinner we headed to the Anderle's house so that Gary and Eric could meet Landon.

Thursday, June 21st we were up bright and early to meet Mary Ann for breakfast at Perkins. Landon slept pretty much through the entire meal. After Perkins we went to see Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bill Mantle at their house in North Olmsted. It was nice to have some one on one visiting. Then Nana dropped Landon and I off at Jenn Martin's house and we visited with Amanda, Jenn, and Allie. Jenn made some good cookies and Landon "played" with Allie. Afterwards Landon and I joined Nana, Queen, and Aunt Cheryl for a nice lunch a Panera. I ran into Megan (Clifford) Long, a friend from high school. After lunch we went to Gail and Brain's house to see Evan, Sophia, Kim, Mario, Lauren, and Megan. I couldn't believe how big the kids were! Lauren and Megan are like little adults! Almost 2 year olds, Evan and Sophia weigh about 20 pounds and Landon, almost 4 months, looked like a giant next to the them! Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Arden had dinner for us at their house and then we went on a little city tour visiting the Eden's and the Horvath's. Our night ended with Aunt Nancy, Uncle Joe, Joey, Amanda (Easter) Rossie and Mrs. Easter coming to Aunt Cheryl's house to see Landon.

Friday, June 22nd we were up early again to meet Mary Ann for bagels at Panera. Then Toni and her daughter Zoey, and Lindsay and her kids, Liam and Audrey, came over to Aunt Cheryl's to visit. We took some cute pictures of all the kids together. Aunt Cheryl, Queen, Nana, Landon, and I headed over to Twinsburg to have lunch with the Kings, Cousins Vicky, Tim, and Connor. We had a really nice visit and just hung out in the warm sunshine! We ate outside a lot and it was awesome! That night Uncle Billy arrived, Landon was so excited to see him. We had dinner together at the Tokarcik's house and Landon met his Auntie Natalie too! We watched the Gerry Sandusky verdict together. (What that man did made me sick. I'm not sure I will ever forget that case!) Then headed home to rest up for the zoo walk the next day!

Saturday, June 23rd, the day Nana's camera broke! We were up early and Uncle Billy, Landon, Nana, and I were at the zoo by 8:00 AM to meet Natalie, Patsy, Toni, and Zoey for our Mission Walk. The money raised benefited a woman's shelter and the city mission. Toni, Zoey, Nana, Uncle Billy, Landon and I walked 1.5 miles in 30 minutes (I think) and Natalie and Patsy did the 5K run, we were all pretty tired! I had forgotten how many hills there are at the zoo! After our walking/running, we were walked around the zoo and saw all the animals. Nana was really bummed her camera was broken, but Uncle Billy had his. After the zoo Nana, Uncle Billy, Landon, and I went to Emerald Village to visit Queen, she was outside reading so we just sat with her and enjoyed some of the afternoon. Queen sang to Landon and put him to sleep, he stayed asleep for an hour and 1/2! That night we went to Gail and Brian's house to have dinner and visit. Sophia had the cutest crush on Billy! It reminded us of Aunt Megan's crush on Gail's brother Mark. After Evan and Sophia went to bed Brian built a fire in his fire pit and we sat outside. It was so nice! I miss sitting around a fire with friends.

Sunday, June 24th we went to church in North Olmsted at Saint Clarence. We saw some old neighbors and everyone said Landon looks just like a Willis! After mass we went to Laura Spencer's house for some bagels and to visit. Then Uncle Billy took Landon to Aunt Cheryl's house and Nana and I went to Annie's baby shower. It was nice to sit and visit with the Willis ladies and see Annie open up a bunch of baby stuff :) After the shower we went back to Aunt Cheryl's house and visited with more Kings! Aunt Janie, Uncle Tom, MJ, Scott, and Tom stopped by on their way back from Columbus. Then we had a picnic with Heather and her boyfriend, her 3 girls, Morgan, Madison, and Hailey, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Arden, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Joe, Joey, Queen, Uncle Billy, Nana, Landon, and myself.

Monday, June 25th Nana dropped Landon and I off at the Akron Airport and headed back to Tampa. We actually weren't sure for a little while if we were going to be able to fly out because of Tropical Storm Debby. However, the flight wasn't bad! When we landed there was actually sun, it didn't start raining until later on in the day.

4 Month Check Up!

I can't believe we are already at Landon's 4 month check up! He is probably not as pleased because it meant he had to get two shots and something in his mouth. He did really well with the first shot, he didn't even cry. The 2nd shot burned so he cried for that one. The shots he had today were the same as his 2 month check up: DTaP, HIB, Pneumococcal, IPV, and Rotavirus.

He is growing very well! He is 16.19 pounds (80th percentile), 25.75 inches long (83rd percentile), and his head is 16.93 inches (74th percentile). Already Landon is currently in 3 - 6 month clothes. Some of the 3 month clothes fit him, but he is pretty quickly changing his wardrobe to 6 months!

We survived Landon's First Flight

Landon took his first flight on United Airlines to visit Queen and the rest of the crew in Cleveland!

"Talking" Waiting to get on the plane
Daddy came with Landon and I into the airport to make sure we were able to get checked in and to carry the bags. (What a guy! Landon did great before we got onto the plane, even during the security line when I was trying to juggle him, the diaper bag, and fold up the stroller he was happy as can be!

I waited to feed Landon until we took off because I wasn't sure how his ears would be affected. We had a 3 year old, Blake, sitting next to us, he was really funny. Little kids just love babies! Both Blake and Landon were given plastic United Airlines wings for their first flight. Landon slept on our decent into Cleveland while Blake and I made a game of saying, "whooooaa!" everytime we hit a little bump. The little boys dad looked like he was afraid of flying. When Blake yelled out, "We are going to crash!" I think his dad went through the roof.

Father's Day Weekend

Yum! Best burger ever!

Landon gave Daddy a stuffed burger maker for Father's Day. He gave it to him early because Chad had to work on Father's Day and he was moving his parents on Saturday, so Friday we had a mini-Father's Day celebration.

Saturday Landon and I went attended a Sprinkle (a baby shower for a 2nd child) for Ashley Berman. She is having another baby girl, Juliet, in July. After the sprinkle we went over to Dunedin to see Grandma and Grandpa Smith's new house. On the way there we stopped at Great Grandpa Stahlhut's house which is down the street.

On the way home after moving day we had to stop off at feed Landon. We had to stop at one of the beaches along the Courtney Campbell and the sunset was so pretty we took some photos.

Sunday, actual Father's Day. Landon gave Daddy the gift of a date night with Mommy. Amanda and Brandon came over to babysit Landon while Mommy and Daddy went to dinner at BD's Mongolian Grill in Oldsmar and then to see the movie The Advengers. It was a great night! Thanks Landon!

Bad Cough

Landon caught another cough at daycare. I was nervous because he was also grabbing his ears and this cough sounded more throaty and hoarse than before. So, we went to visit Dr. Wilde and get checked out. He said this cough required a steriod shot in the leg and he was glad we brought him in to see him. His ears were fine, so that was a relief! He is growing though, he weighed in at 15 pounds and 13 ounces, big boy!

Bath Time!

Landon learned how to splash in the bath, but we couldn't get it on camera. We tried to get the video as you can see below. He just loves water and being in the bath. I am going to have to look into Mommy and Me swim classes.

He isn't a fan of being cold!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

We have a roller on our hands! I put Landon to bed and I had the video monitor in my hands when I came downstairs and we were able to catch Landon rolling over. We wanted to see it in person so we ran upstairs and flipped him over. Then we sat and watched (filmed) for 2 minutes while he rolled over again!

Rays Watch Party

Landon went to his first "watch party" at Prime Bar with Amanda Pettograsso and Mommy. We actually wanted to watch the Heat lose to the Celtics (it didn't happen) and enjoy some happy hour deals. Little did we know that this Rays vs Yankees watch party would be so huge! Landon was "interviewed" by the Rays Fan Interviewer Rusty Kath. Daddy and Brandon Hixson, Amanda's boyfriend, met us up there to enjoy some 1/2 priced burgers and beer.

We might be on a schedule!

I don't want to jinx it, but Landon has been sleeping until 5 AM! We've been putting him to bed around 9 PM and he has been sleeping until 5 AM, I almost don't need an alarm for work anymore :) I didn't want to mention it, but it has been a week of this schedule and it is bliss! (He started doing it when we were in North Carolina for the races on 5/27/12). I really hope this continues! We have been giving him a the rice bottle before bed to make his tummy full, so that probably helps. I don't miss the 3:30 AM feedings :)

Yost Family Comes to Visit

We spent all day Saturday hanging out with the Yost family! It was so much fun to hang out with them! They were in Florida on a Disney vacation and were flying out of Tampa. Bryan's parents went to Punta Gorda to visit Bryan's uncle and we were able to get them for the entire day! It was awesome! We hung out for awhile  at the house catching up and the kids played Wii. Wrigley loved playing with Maddox and Macie.

Then we went to lunch at Hot Rod's BBQ joint in Lutz Florida. It is a hole in the wall place with good food. Chad ordered this huge pound and 1/2 burger, it was like an entire meatloaf on a loaf of bread! We all tried some of it, it was actually pretty good. Chad finished the whole thing, with some help. The rest of us ordered the Meat Feast. It was a combination of ribs, chicken, chicken wings, pulled pork, and sides. It was so good! Becky and I wanted to try their blueberry cobbler, but the waitress reluctantly told us it was just pie filling not fresh, so we passed on it.

Meat Fest!

DONE!

After lunch we went to Wiregrass Mall to walk around a bit and get some ice cream. Becky, Macie, and I went to Charming Charlie and Macie got this purple and pink necklace that she promised to wear everyday. She is such a girly girl, I love it! Then we went and met the boys at The Brass Tap. Becky and I got blueberry beers, with real blueberries, not pie filling! We eventually made it to the ice cream place as well. It was such a good fun day! I hope we see them again soon.

The kids loved pushing Landon around!

Bryan got a beer bought for him for his past service in the Army.
Thanks veteran Bryan!
