Our day with the Martin Family

Haley, Chris, and I went to Elmhurst College together
We were so excited that the Martin family was coming to Florida! Haley and I had not seen each other since we were both pregnant! Chad and I both had Friday off and we stayed at Lisa and Justin's house the night before so it would be closer the next day. Chad, Landon, and I showed up to the Martin's hotel around 11:30/12. The Martin's were staying at the Marriott's Ocean Pointe Resort in Palm Beach Shores. When we got there Riley was sleeping, so we started drinking! (I mean, what is a vacation without some margaritas!) Riley woke up and both the babies had their bottles. Then the weather went from sunny to looking like the end of the world. Well, Haley and I decided it would be a great time to take the kids to the splash pad. We needed photos of them together in the sun!

The boys stayed upstairs with our drinks claiming they would meet us downstairs. Haley and and I are running through the people that were leaving the pool/beach/splash pad areas, several gave us looks and I believe a few warned us of the weather. We were able to get a little splash pad time in, we wanted the beach but the wind was blowing sand all around, so we drew the line there. Then it started to rain (thunder and lightening too I think) so we made our way back inside. The boys cleaned up a bit but were still drinking, they knew our mission was a failed one and didn't even attempt to come join us.

Riley was super interested in the leaves and Landon was more interested in his hand!
We then went to lunch a Two Drunken Goats. All in all the food was good but Chris wiped out on his way into the restaurant running from the rain. He landed on his back and Haley and I heard the smack sound from where we were. He is a good agile athlete so it didn't hurt him as much :) Then we had pretty horrible service, but Riley enjoyed her service! Haley fed her and I think Landon pretty much just slept.

After lunch we headed back had some beer tastings, hung out, and then went down to the beach to get some pictures of the kids. Landon loved the ocean and Riley wasn't a fan of it.

Afterwards both babies were pretty tired so we said our goodbyes and we headed back to Lisa and Justin's to spend the remaining rest of the day with them. We had pizza and Emily scared Landon by "talking" aka yelling in his face. It was pretty funny :)

Mr. Cool Guy!

Riley was happier away from the ocean!
